History walk, cafés & markets
The Bridport history walk meanders beachside into town — stop for coffee in the sun, with fortnightly markets on the village green in summer.
Explore Bridport
Bridport is a relaxed seaside town on Tasmania’s north-east coast — calm beaches, friendly cafés, world-class golf and easy coastal walks, all within reach of your apartment.
From your base at Old Pier Apartments you can swim before breakfast, play a round at Barnbougle, grab a coffee in town and watch the sun set over the water — all in the same day. Here are some of our favourite things to do nearby.

On the water
Bridport’s sheltered beaches are made for easy days by the water. Eastmans Beach and the town foreshore offer calm, family-friendly swimming, soft sand for a long walk, and plenty of quiet spots to set up for the afternoon.

For golfers
Bridport is the gateway to some of the world’s most celebrated links golf. Barnbougle Dunes and Barnbougle Lost Farm are both an easy drive away — perfect for an early tee-off and a relaxed return to your apartment afterwards.
Old Pier Apartments makes a comfortable, well-priced base for golf trips, with free parking and room for the group to spread out.

You have a full kitchen if you feel like cooking in — but Bridport punches above its weight for a town this size, and everything is a short walk or a couple of minutes’ drive away.
Bridport’s RSL bistro, and the go-to for a proper meal out. Bar, lounge and dining room with an upstairs deck looking over the water — an easy, relaxed dinner after a day at the beach or on the course.
The spot for coffee, breakfast and a casual lunch, right by the foreshore with outdoor tables in the sun. A natural stop at the end of the history walk into town.

Some of Australia’s best cool-climate cellar doors are 15 minutes down the B7. Try Jansz for sparkling that rivals France, Pipers Brook (with a café for lunch), Dalrymple for Sauvignon Blanc and cherry-red Pinot Noir, Bay of Fires Vineyard for the award-winning Arras sparkling, and Delamere’s renovated cellar door.
